For sales teams, not for spying on anyone
mCallz: Call Tracking App for Business Calls and Lead Sources
A call tracking app is business software that records the details of every work call, such as who called, when, for how long and with what result, and links each one to a customer or campaign. mCallz does this for calls on your team's own phones, attaching every call to a lead and the source tag that lead arrived with.
- SIM, WhatsApp, Meet and Zoom calls filed under the right lead
- Source tags from Facebook and Google ads to walk-ins and referrals
- Connected, missed and lost leads rolled up for the owner
Calls go out on each phone's own SIM. Dialer, CRM and WhatsApp for ₹4,000 per user a year (₹333/month), down to ₹208/month for bigger teams. GST extra.
- Works on the SIM in each phone
- Android, iPhone and web

The short answer
What is a call tracking app?
A call tracking app logs each business call with its time, length and outcome, connecting it to the customer and the marketing source behind them.
mCallz is a call tracking app for sales teams that call from their own mobile numbers on Android, with an iPhone app that covers everything except the phone's call log. Every SIM call is logged, and so are calls made through WhatsApp, Google Meet and Zoom. Each call sits in the history of a lead, and each lead carries a source tag such as Facebook, Google, Website, WhatsApp, Instagram, Referral, Walk-in, IndiaMART, JustDial or one you create. Numbers that never connected beyond a limit you pick (60, 30 or 0 seconds) land in a lost leads list. The owner sees every employee's calls, rings for connected, missed and rejected counts, and monthly trends. The figures here follow the mCallz feature list of 14 October 2026, and the product is meant for company calls, not for watching a relative's phone.
- Calls are tracked on existing numbers, with no tracking lines to rent.
- A lead's source tag shows where that caller first came from.
- Lost leads are listed one row each, ready for another try.
Benefits
Call tracking app benefits for sales managers
Calls linked to leads
Each call joins the lead's history, so results are judged per customer rather than per dial.
Source on every lead
Tags such as Facebook, Google, Walk-in or Referral stay on the lead from the first contact.
Lost leads made visible
Numbers that never connected past your threshold get a list of their own.
Team totals without reports
Every salesperson's calls reach the owner's account automatically.
Trends by month
Incoming, outgoing, missed and rejected calls compared month against month.
App calls counted too
A deal discussed on a WhatsApp or Zoom call still shows up in the numbers.
Who it is for
Business call tracking, not phone spying
Search for a call tracking app and many results are about watching a child's, partner's or parent's phone. mCallz is not that kind of product. It tracks calls that employees make and take for the company, on phones where the app is installed openly and set up through its own permission screens.
If the goal is to see where a relative is or what they do on their phone, this is the wrong tool. If the goal is to know whether new enquiries got a call back, how many real conversations each salesperson had, and which sources bring customers who actually pick up, read on.
Lead sources
Call tracking software that ties calls to lead sources
Marketing call tracking tools usually rent a separate phone number for each ad and count the calls each number receives. mCallz takes a different route. Leads arrive from Google Sheets, a REST API, a webhook, an imported file or a phone call, and each one carries a source tag: Facebook, Google, Website, WhatsApp, Instagram, Referral, Walk-in, IndiaMART, JustDial or a custom tag of your own.
Because every call is saved against a lead, filtering leads by source shows which channel's enquiries were reached, which are still waiting and which went cold. The tag is set when the lead is imported or saved, so the answer is only as accurate as that tagging; mCallz does not match an incoming call to an ad click by itself.
The lead filter can combine source with status, tag, product, list and custom fields, using match-any or match-all, and the filtered leads can be exported to CSV for a spreadsheet review.
What gets tracked
Call tracker app: what each call records
Every entry below lands on the lead's single history screen, next to remarks, reminders and WhatsApp messages.
- Direction and result: incoming, outgoing, missed, connected, rejected or blocked.
- The SIM that carried the call, named correctly on dual-SIM phones.
- Internet calls on WhatsApp, Google Meet and Zoom, kept with the SIM calls.
- The lead it belongs to, with status, remarks and follow-ups on one screen.
- A recording, when the phone's own recorder saved one and auto-import is on, or when a file is shared into the app.
- Spam flags from other users' reports, counted separately from genuine calls.
Team roll-up
Call tracking app reports for the owner
Each salesperson's calls flow into the owner's account. Rings count connected, missed, rejected, unique, blocked and spam calls, plus incoming, outgoing, the overall total and lost leads, and tapping one filters the log to those exact calls. Ranges run from today to all time, or any custom dates.
Monthly trends for incoming, outgoing, missed and rejected calls reveal direction over time. A rise in missed calls after a new campaign starts is an early sign that the team needs more hands, or an automatic WhatsApp reply after missed calls, which the WhatsApp CRM side of mCallz can send.

Is it legal?
Call tracking app rules in different countries
General information, not legal advice. Rules change, so check the current law where your team works.
In most countries, tracking business calls on company phones or work numbers is lawful when staff are told about it, while secretly installing tracking software on another adult's personal phone is not. Recording the content of calls is usually more tightly controlled than logging that a call happened.
A few examples. In the United States, federal and state wiretap laws limit intercepting calls, and some states require every party to agree before a call is recorded. In the United Kingdom and the European Union, an employer that monitors staff calls must meet data protection rules (UK GDPR and the EU GDPR), which expect a clear purpose and notice to employees. India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 sets consent and notice duties for personal data, Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020) governs how customer and call data are processed, and Brazil's LGPD plays a similar role.
Sensible practice: tell employees which calls are logged and why, keep personal SIMs and private numbers out of backup, and take local advice before recording calls.

Honest limits
Call tracking app limits: when to choose something else
mCallz tracks calls on the phones your team carries. It does not cover every kind of tracking:
- Per-ad tracking numbers. There is no pool of virtual numbers that changes by ad or keyword, and no automatic match of a call to an ad click; sources rely on lead tags. A marketing call tracking platform does that job.
- Inbound routing. IVR menus, virtual numbers and call queues are not available today, although they are planned.
- Watching family members or partners. mCallz is built for business calls with staff who know the app is there; it is not a parental or partner monitoring tool.
- Teams that only use iPhones. Automatic SIM call tracking needs Android, because Apple gives apps no access to the iPhone's call log.
Worked example
Call tracking app example: a Cairo furniture showroom checks its ad leads
A furniture showroom in Cairo, Egypt. The business is an illustration, not a named customer.
The showroom runs Facebook and Google lead forms that feed a Google Sheet, which mCallz pulls in at regular intervals with each lead's source tag filled in, and walk-in visitors who leave a number at the counter are saved with the Walk-in tag. The four salespeople call from their own Android phones, and the many buyers who ring back on WhatsApp are logged as well.
At the end of the month the owner filters leads by source tag and reads the call results in each list: how many Facebook leads were reached, how many Google leads are still waiting, and which numbers sit in the lost leads list because no call lasted 60 seconds. The monthly trend shows missed calls rising since a sofa promotion began, so the showroom turns on an automatic WhatsApp reply after missed calls and moves one salesperson onto incoming calls for the weekend.

Questions
Call tracking app FAQ
Is there an app to track phone calls?
Yes. For business use, mCallz tracks every call made or received on a work phone, including WhatsApp, Meet and Zoom calls, and links each one to a lead. It is designed for companies whose staff know it is installed.
Which call tracking app shows the source of each lead?
mCallz does. Every lead carries a source tag such as Facebook, Google, Website, Walk-in, Referral, IndiaMART, JustDial or a custom one, and every call is saved to its lead, so calls can be read source by source.
Is mCallz a call tracking app?
Yes. mCallz is a call tracking app that logs business calls on the SIM and on internet apps, files each call under a lead, and rolls the whole team's calls up to the owner.
How much does a call tracking app cost with mCallz?
Tracking is paid per salesperson for twelve months at a time. A small team of up to 4 pays ₹4,000 each, shown in dollars as US$44.08; the rate drops as the team grows, to ₹2,500 each (US$28.30) for 20 salespeople, and teams beyond that ask for a quote. GST extra. There are no tracking numbers to rent; the calls themselves are billed by your mobile operator as before.
What is call tracking software?
Call tracking software records business calls and connects them to customers, staff and marketing sources, so a company can see which efforts lead to real conversations. Some tools rent a number per ad; mCallz tracks calls on the team's own phones and uses lead source tags.
Are phone tracking apps legal?
It depends on whose phone and what is tracked. Logging business calls on work phones with staff told about it is generally lawful, while secretly tracking another adult's personal phone breaks the law in many places, including the US, the UK, India and Egypt. This is general information, not legal advice.
Can you track WhatsApp calls?
On a work phone with mCallz, yes: WhatsApp calls are logged in the call history beside SIM calls, as are Google Meet and Zoom calls. The log records that the call took place and when; it is not a way to read someone else's chats.
Is there a call tracking app for iPhone?
mCallz has an iPhone app with every feature except reading the iPhone's call log, which iOS keeps closed. Teams that need automatic SIM call tracking should use Android phones for their callers.
What is the best call tracking app for Android?
For sales teams calling from their own numbers, mCallz suits well because calls, lead sources and team totals sit in one app. A marketing team that needs a different tracking number for each ad should look at a dedicated call tracking platform.
Can a call tracking app show which ad a caller came from?
In mCallz, through the lead's source tag rather than a special number. Leads imported from ad forms carry their source, so their calls can be grouped by Facebook, Google or any other tag.
Does call tracking work without buying new phone numbers?
With mCallz it does. Calls go out and come in on the SIM numbers your team already has, and the app logs them where they happen.
What is a lost lead in call tracking?
In mCallz, a lost lead is a number you called that never connected past the limit you set, 60, 30 or 0 seconds. Each such number gets one row in the lost leads list, ready for another attempt.
Can I use a call tracking app to monitor my partner's phone?
Not with mCallz, and doing it secretly is illegal in many countries. mCallz is made for business calls on work phones, with staff who know the app is there.
Run a call tracking app trial with your own sales team
Install mCallz on the phones your salespeople already carry, tag the next batch of leads by source, and read the results at the end of the week.
