mCallz: Runo Alternative for Teams Calling From Their Own SIM

A Runo alternative is another calling and lead app that a sales team can move to without changing its mobile numbers, usually chosen for a simpler price, fewer plan limits or a feature the current tool lacks. mCallz sells one full app per user for ₹208 to ₹333 a month on yearly billing, depending on team size, with the dialer, follow-up alarms, WhatsApp and attendance inside.

  • Runo lists four tiers; mCallz sells one app, billed by the year
  • Calls stay on each employee's own number, with redials and ring limits
  • Leads move across from an Excel, CSV or Google Sheets export

Calls go out on each phone's own SIM. Dialer, CRM and WhatsApp for ₹4,000 per user a year (₹333/month), down to ₹208/month for bigger teams. GST extra.

  • Works on the SIM in each phone
  • Android, iPhone and web

The short answer

What is a good Runo alternative?

A good Runo alternative keeps calls on the team's existing mobile numbers, logs every call against a lead, and puts follow-ups in every seat without a tier upgrade.

mCallz is a Runo alternative for sales and telecalling teams that would rather have one feature set than a ladder of plans. On 20 October 2026, Runo's pricing page listed four SIM based tiers, Lite, Starter, Growth and Scale, at ₹199 to ₹799 per user a month without AI and ₹699 to ₹1,299 with AI on yearly billing, taxes extra, with at least 3 licences per account. For a team of 4 or fewer, mCallz asks ₹4,000 a seat per year (US$44.08), around ₹333 monthly; at 20 users the seat drops to ₹2,500 (close to ₹208 monthly). That is more than Runo Lite without AI and less than Runo Starter, and the seat covers a replacement dialer that shows a caller card, automatic list calls with up to three redials, follow-up alarms, WhatsApp after calls, a lead pipeline and selfie attendance with route maps. Runo stays ahead where mCallz has nothing to offer yet: virtual numbers, cloud calling and AI call summaries. The mCallz feature list behind this comparison was updated on 14 October 2026.

  1. Runo's cheapest tier leaves out its follow-up calendar; every mCallz user gets reminders.
  2. Runo also sells virtual numbers and cloud calling; mCallz does not today.
  3. Switching means exporting your leads to a sheet and importing that sheet.

Benefits

Runo alternative benefits of moving to mCallz

01

No tier to outgrow

Each mCallz seat carries the dialer, CRM, WhatsApp tools and attendance, so nobody upgrades to unlock follow-ups.

02

Below Runo Starter per seat

₹208 to ₹333 a month on yearly billing, under the ₹499 Runo lists for Starter, its first tier with the follow-up calendar. Runo Lite at ₹199 costs less but leaves that calendar out.

03

Alarms for callbacks

A follow-up rings at its set time on a locked phone and stays open until someone marks it done.

04

Attendance next to calls

Selfie punch-in inside an office geofence and a web route map for field days, in the calling app.

05

Lead card on every ring

On Android mCallz becomes the default dialer, so status and last remark fill the screen before you answer.

06

WhatsApp as a second line

A list can be dialled through WhatsApp instead of the SIM, with a daily cap the admin chooses.

A fair view

Runo competitors compared: where Runo is stronger

Runo is worth keeping when a team needs more than SIM calling. Its pricing page sells three products next to each other: a SIM based CRM, a Virtual SIM option and a Cloud option. A business that wants a shared virtual number or browser-based calls from a single vendor has that choice at Runo, and mCallz cannot match it today.

Runo also leans on AI. Its homepage lists AI call summaries, sentiment analysis, call scoring for coaching and an AI chat assistant, and the AI plans open as the default view on the pricing page. Larger accounts get extras on the upper tiers, such as a dedicated customer success manager from 10 users on Growth and Scale, and up to 50 processes per account on Scale.

Every Runo figure on this page comes from Runo's own pricing page and its homepage, read on 20 October 2026. Where those pages are silent, the table below says "not stated" instead of guessing.

Best fit

mCallz vs Runo: the teams mCallz fits better

  • Small teams that want every tool in every seat. One yearly price per user, set by team size, with no plan that hides callback reminders or call notes.
  • Owners who also run attendance. Selfie punches inside a geofence, breaks, and a web route map with kilometres for staff in the field.
  • Callers who want context before answering. The full-screen card shows who is calling, their stage and the last remark, even on the lock screen.
  • Businesses with renewals. Paid clients, due amounts, expiry filters and renewal reminders live in the same account as the leads.
  • Teams in many languages. An in-app picker offers 40+ languages, with right-to-left support.

Pricing

Runo pricing and Runo CRM pricing next to mCallz

Runo prices by tier, by product and by billing period. For its SIM based CRM billed yearly in India, the page showed Lite ₹699, Starter ₹999, Growth ₹1,099 and Scale ₹1,299 per user a month with AI, or ₹199, ₹499, ₹599 and ₹799 without AI. Half-yearly and quarterly billing cost more: quarterly SIM plans with AI run from ₹899 to ₹1,699. Taxes are extra and every tier asks for at least 3 licences.

For buyers outside India the same page lists US dollar SIM based plans from US$10 on Lite to US$18 on Scale, per user a month on yearly billing. Its Virtual SIM and Cloud products cost more than SIM in every tier.

mCallz has no feature tiers and bills only by the year. Team size sets one seat price for every caller: a 20-seat team pays ₹2,500 per head, a team of ten or more ₹3,000, a team of five or more ₹3,500, and the smallest teams (4 or fewer) ₹4,000 each (US$44.08). Beyond 20 seats the price is quoted, and GST or local tax comes on top. A 3-person team pays ₹12,000 a year with mCallz, against ₹7,164 on Runo Lite without AI, ₹17,964 on Runo Starter without AI or ₹25,164 on Runo Lite with AI, all before tax. Runo Lite is the cheapest of these, though it lacks the follow-up calendar and call notes form.

Switching

Runo alternative setup: moving your leads to mCallz

A switch can be done in a working day for a small team. Keep the old account running until the new call log looks right.

  1. Download your leads

Runo's plans list bulk lead download. Pull every lead out with its status and remarks into a spreadsheet file, or paste the rows into a shared Google Sheets tab.

  2. Import into mCallz

Upload the file, or connect the sheet so new rows arrive on a schedule. Repeated numbers are dropped and country codes are handled.

  3. Map columns and stages

Match each column to a built-in or custom field, rebuild your status pipeline, and read the reason beside any skipped row.

  4. Install on every phone

Each user signs in on Android or iPhone. On Android, set mCallz as the default dialer so every call is logged.

  5. Overlap for a week

Run both apps for a few days, then let the old plan lapse at the end of its billing period.

Honest limits

Runo alternative limits: when to stay with Runo

Moving to mCallz is the wrong call for some Runo customers. Stay where you are if any of these describe you:

  • You rely on a virtual number or cloud calls. mCallz has no virtual numbers, IVR or call queues today, while Runo sells Virtual SIM and Cloud products.
  • AI call notes are part of your process. mCallz neither summarises nor scores calls; its only AI feature answers questions about using the app.
  • You want a predictive or robo dialler. mCallz rings a single number for a single caller and needs a person on each call; it never plays recorded messages.
  • An all-iPhone team that wants every SIM call captured on its own. iOS blocks every app from reading the iPhone call list, so that one job needs Android handsets; the rest of mCallz runs on iPhone.

Worked example

Runo alternative example: a solar installer in Accra with 8 sales reps

A solar panel installer in Accra, Ghana. The business is an illustration, not a named customer.

8sales reps on Android phones
400monthly enquiries from social ad forms
3redials for every number that rings out
₹28,0008 mCallz seats for twelve months at ₹3,500 per seat (US$310.56), before tax

The installer was pricing Runo's US dollar SIM plans, which start at US$10 per user a month on yearly billing, so 8 reps on Lite would come to US$960 a year before tax, without the follow-up calendar. mCallz puts those 8 reps in its 5 to 9 users price tier, for US$310.56 a year, and callback alarms come with every seat.

Ad leads land in a Google Sheet that mCallz reads on a schedule. Each rep runs a morning dialling session with three redials, saves a status after every call and books roof surveys as follow-up alarms. A WhatsApp message with the product brochure goes out on its own after a missed call. Two of the reps also climb onto customers' roofs, so their day starts with a selfie punch and ends with a route that lists every roof they stood on.

What the team would give up: a shared virtual number and AI call summaries. For an installer that sells from mobile numbers its customers already save, that trade looks reasonable.

Questions

Runo alternative FAQ

Which Runo alternative works on the team's own SIM cards?

mCallz works on the SIM cards your team already uses. It takes over the Android dialer, so calls leave from each employee's number and land against the right lead, with no virtual number to buy.

What is mCallz compared with Runo?

mCallz is a Runo alternative that bundles dialling, a lead pipeline, automatic WhatsApp messages and attendance punches into one app at one per-user price. Runo instead splits its SIM based CRM into four tiers and also sells virtual and cloud calling.

How much does a Runo alternative cost with mCallz?

Teams with 4 callers or fewer are charged ₹4,000 per caller for twelve months (US$44.08); bigger teams pay less per seat, reaching ₹2,500 (US$28.30) at 20 callers, before tax, and over 20 callers get a quote. Whichever band applies unlocks the whole app, with no AI or non-AI split to choose between.

What is Runo CRM pricing?

Runo's SIM based CRM costs ₹699 to ₹1,299 per user a month with AI, or ₹199 to ₹799 without AI, on yearly billing in India, according to its pricing page on 20 October 2026. Taxes are extra, half-yearly and quarterly billing cost more, and each tier needs at least 3 licences.

What is Runo AI pricing?

On Runo's pricing page each AI plan for the SIM based CRM costs ₹500 more per user a month than the matching non-AI tier on yearly billing, for example ₹699 instead of ₹199 for Lite. The AI prices show first, and a switch reveals the non-AI ones.

Who are Runo's competitors?

Runo competes with other SIM-based telecalling CRMs and with cloud phone systems that rent out virtual numbers. mCallz belongs to the first group: calls stay on the employee's SIM, and CRM, WhatsApp and attendance come in the same app.

Does Runo have a free trial?

Yes. Runo lists a 10-day free trial on every tier and says no credit card is required. You can also open an mCallz trial at app.mcallz.com and compare the two on the same set of leads.

Does Runo offer virtual numbers?

Its pricing page shows a Virtual SIM product and a Cloud product beside the SIM based CRM, each priced higher per user. mCallz does not sell virtual numbers today, so a team that needs one should stay with Runo or add a cloud phone system.

Is mCallz cheaper than Runo?

Not against Runo's cheapest tier. An mCallz seat lands at ₹208 to ₹333 per month on yearly billing, depending on team size, while Runo Lite without AI is listed at ₹199, a tier without its follow-up calendar. mCallz does cost less than Starter at ₹499, the first tier with that calendar, and less than every Runo AI plan.

Can I move my leads from Runo to mCallz?

Yes. Runo's plans include bulk lead download, and mCallz imports Excel, CSV or JSON files or reads a Google Sheet on a schedule. Columns map to built-in or custom fields, and repeated numbers are dropped during the import.

Does mCallz record calls like Runo?

mCallz brings in the recordings your phone already makes, or a recording you share into the app. Runo lists call recording kept for 1 to 12 months depending on the tier. If your phones do not record calls, check this during the trial.

Does mCallz have AI call summaries?

No. mCallz does not summarise or score calls; its AI is an assistant that answers questions about the app. Runo lists AI call summaries and sentiment analysis, so it suits teams that want notes written for them.

Does the Runo app work on iPhone?

Runo's homepage links to an iOS app as well as an Android app. The mCallz iPhone app has every feature apart from reading the call log, which iOS blocks, while Android gets the full dialer.
